The Island

Adeline sat at her desk grinding her teeth as the clock continued to tick slowly towards the bell ringing for the students to get out and for her to leave. She wanted to get out of there and go home. She was so tired of coming here everyday and having to deal with teh stupid highschoolers here. It wasn't fair to her or anyone else that they were trapped on this island. She still couldn't believe that her mother did that to her and her siblings and that was years ago.

She figured out that her dad had been like her and her siblings and that was why her mother left him. She didn't want him there anymore once she figured out what he was. She wondered what power he had had and if it was like hers or any of her siblings. She wished she knew if he was on this island or in hiding somewhere. It would make sense if he was here with them, but also if he was in hiding because people were being shuffled in daily. Families sending family members in. It was hard to see how young some of these children were that were coming with only one parent because of the fact that the other parent had found out and told someone.

It made her sick that people were like that. Sending your family off to an island where they would never be heard from again. The island was filling up quickly and she wondered if the government would have to make another one to hold more of them. She was sure there weren't that many of them out there, but with people like them having children it was going to fill up quickly. She shook her head some and looked at the clock once more, still a lot of time left. She groaned and put her head in her hands.
