It happened a few days ago. John Freeman had been walking in the quiet night through Palm Glades, calming his mind. He would meditate, but walking worked just as well for him. He was assigned to this island filled with the spawns of the Devil. Father Duncan had believed he was the best one for the job. John prided himself as being one of the strongest warriors of the Lord, but he was one man. Too few, too few...
Then he heard a crash, and a girl bumped into him running out.He got a good look of her features - teenager, red-haired, rather beautiful. He looked at the house she cam out of and frowned. The girl had already disappeared into the darkness he frowned. Why was she running...?
A few days later, he had his answer:
Apparently, a man was poisoned in that house. He saw the girl running and put two and two together. So, she poisoned him? What a dirty tactic... but then, no less than what was expected of the spawn of the Devil, now, was it? Well, if he was going to start smiting more of these demons, then he might as well start with the more abhorrent ones.
He drove around the neighborhood, deciding to check out the area. To be honest, he didn't expect to encounter her here. After all, what idiot would be so close to the scene of the crime, especially with the entire incident on the paper? But then who knows, the girl migh tbe careless. And if she was...
He had a bottle of chloroform and a hankerchief ready.

An audible groan came from Stefani when she had to pause her iPod and pull out her cell phone to answer it – it was her sister calling. Typical. Still jogging at a decent pace, she spoke into the phone, saying, ”Hello?”
, with a bit of exasperation in her voice. Of course, she already knew that annoying entity was on the other end of the line – her twin sister. ”Hey sis!” Andrea cheered into the phone while she sat on her bed, leaning over to finish off her home-made pedicure. ”Just wanted to make sure you were going to remember to pick up my Gummy Bears at the convenient store near the end of your run.” Stefani just rolled her eyes. Her sister had been hung over this morning, and hadn’t really been in the greatest conversation mood throughout the day. Apparently she had finally bounced back now that she’d eaten her dinner, and felt like chatting. ”Yeah, sure.” Stef told her, and Andy immediately bounced to another topic. ”So that Koryu guy – he’s been hanging out with you a lot lately, hasn’t he?” Stef was actually surprised at the randomness of her sister’s question. Without stopping or slowing down her pace, she said to her, ”Yeah... your point being?” Andy giggled and said, ”He’s got potential, you know... plus he’s gorgeous, you better not throw him away or I’ll have to pick up the pieces and have him for myself!” Despite what her sister tended to do with guys on a regular basis, this wasn’t any kind of thread. But then she asked, ”What do you mean by potential?” ”Well,” Andrea began, closing the bottle of nail polish and fanning her toenails so they would dry faster. ”Before he’d let me kiss him on the porch, he stopped me, saying something wasn’t right – it was like he could sense that I wasn’t you. It was weird, it’s never happened before...” Stefani listened in silence. She was actually really intrigued by this information. He had been so honest about not being able to tell them apart before, she had assumed that Koryu would be like every other guy in that way. ”Like I said, he has potential. Better not let him get away, ya hear?” Stefani merely chuckled, deciding to end this conversation. ”I’ll call you on my way back from the store. Love you, bye.” With that, she closed her phone and put it back in her pocket. Turning her iPod back on, one of her favourite exercise songs began to play, and she increased her pace. John circled around a corner and cuoldn't believe his eyes - the girl he had seen running from the scene of the crime. He couldn't believe it! This girl really was stupid to be loitering so close to where she committed her sin! Well, still, he took this as a sign from the Lord that his mission was righteous. He readied himself.
He pulled over a bit ahead of Stefani, and stepped out of the car, looking rather nonchalant... and as soon as she passed by, he took out the chloroform-soaked hankerchief, reached out with one arm to grab her around the arms so she couldn't escape, then pressed the hankerchief to her nose and mouth. After a few second of struggling, she went unconscious and he tossed her into the car. He then drove off with her.
Arriving at a deserted warehouse, he took the girl out, put her in a chair in the middle of the room, and tied her to it. Then he put duct tape over her mouth so her screaming wouldn't give her away. He put a ski mask over his head to disguise his features, then took out a pistol and fixed a silencer over it. Divine judgment would be done tonight.
He'd make certain of it.

Stefani continued to run, her hair tied back in a ponytail so it wouldn’t get in her face as she ran. With the white headphones plugged into her iPod, she had on a green tank top and a grey pair of sweat pants. She was staring straight ahead, keeping her same pace, not worried about her surroundings... until her surroundings became more than apparent.
She felt something brace itself around her, and before she could even yelp out of reflex from being pulled back, it was muffled by a white cloth. When she looked down and saw the arm, and things began to sink in, she continued to struggle and scream. However, out of panic, she hadn’t realized just what the cloth’s real purpose was. Her head, and the world around her, began to grow foggy. Her limbs grew suddenly limp, and she slipped into unconsciousness.
* * * * * * * * * *
As Andrea continued to fan her toenails, she suddenly realized the one thing she had been craving for the padt hour, and it hadn’t been gummy bears; it was a cream soda. And they were currently out. Picking up her phone again, she called her sister...
Nobody answered.
This surprised Andrea quite a bit. Her sister never turned off her phone, nor was away from it; she always answered it, no matter the circumstances. So Andrea called again. And again. And again. Soon, she wasn’t even getting a ringtone; it was going right to voice mail. Normally level-headed and the last to worry, Andy was beginning to actually grow concerned. Maybe it was her phone? Perhaps the reception was bad for some reason in this room.
Moving downstairs, she quickly put on her flip flops and stood on the porch, calling again. And, again, right to voice mail. She cursed into the phone, soon scanning the street for any sign of her sister, even the sound of pounding footsteps echoing from somewhere in the area. There was nothing... And Andy began to worry...
* * * * * * * * * *
She had no idea how long she had been asleep for.
Seconds? Minutes? Hours? Either way, her head felt incredibly heavy. Stefani could barely open her eyes. Once she was able to, her vision was blurry, and she had trouble lifting her head. Looking down, she saw her arms... secured to where she was sitting. Same with her legs. It was taking longer than usual to process what was going on.
She tried to lift her left arm. Couldn’t. Right. Same. Both legs. Nothing. Then she tried to say something, probably ‘What the hell?’ but then heard the muffled sound of her own voice, and felt both her lips stuck together by some sort of substance. That’s when it hit her; her mouth was duct taped and she was tied to a chair.
She tried to call out. Muffled. Then she tried to scream, and struggle. Nothing was working. It wasn’t much of an attempt, since her body was still feeling the affect of the drugs, but she was doing the best she could, given the circumstances. All in all, her body was in a panic.

John had made the little precaution of taking away her cellphone and taking out the battery - such things could be easily tracked. But at any rate, that was beside the point. The struggling spawn of the devil here... she already awoke, apparently. Well, he didn't have to wait long. He looked up as she struggled, and he stood up from where he sat against the wall, picking up a newspaper.
"Don't struggle. You don't have any powers to free yourself with," he said, calmly and coldly, walking toward her. He held up the newspaper in front of her, where the article of the poisoned man showed clearly. "Recognize this picture? I bumped into you on the way out that night. Normally, you spawns of the Devil are abhorrent by nature, but poisoning? You are one of those that truly belong in hell."
She could probably see nothing but his eyes underneath that mask, and his eyes were cold and hard. And he was still holding on to the pistol in his other hand. It was clear that he could and would kill her at any time with no problem."I always despised types like you. Believing that you could simply use your powers on people without any consequences. Always reminds me of why I'm doing this."
He didn't point his pistol toward her, but why should he? He was making his point clear.
----------
Koryu, meanwhile, walked down the street casually. He had been talking to stefani for quite a bit. He was thinking that maybe he should ask her out on a date. He smiled to himself. He wondered how would that go...? He had the resources to plan a date, a very good one at that. Just like a perfect gentleman.
He reached the house and saw on the porch one of the sisters. He smiled, but saw that she had a look of concern on her face. His smile faded and he quickened his pace. He reached the porch. When she cursed, he knew that it was Andrea. Stefani never used such foul words.
"Andrea, is something the matter?" he asked.

While she was busy looking around to see if her sister was still jogging somewhere down the street, she didn’t notice Koryu’s arrival until he spoke to her. "Andrea, is something the matter?"
Andy jumped, nearly dropping her cell phone. But then she clutched it tightly her growing worry now mixed with a tinge of annoyance towards him. ”Oh, Koryu. Look, I don’t have time to play with you right now, I have to find my sister.” With that, she went back into the house, not closing the door. She checked the hook near the coat closet; nothing. She walked over to the kitchen table. Nothing. Dining room table. Still nothing. ”Where the fuck are my keys?!” Andrea exclaimed, not caring who heard her. Her brother wasn’t home, and she’d forgotten that she’d left the front door wide open. She was certain that she was going to kill her sister if she found out that her not answering her calls was some kind of payback for the other night. Though Andy only let herself think that to try and calm herself down. While her sister wasn’t beyond getting back at her sister on occasion for petty offences, she’d never worry her on purpose by not answering her phone. She always answered her phone. And she wasn’t dumb enough to let it die on her when she was away from the house either. What the hell was going on? * * * * * * * * * * What the hell was going on? "Don't struggle. You don't have any powers to free yourself with.”The voice surprised Stefani, but because of the current weight of her head, it took her a moment to look up at the unfamiliar man that was approaching hr. She couldn’t really process what he was wearing besides the mask that was on his face, concealing everything but his eyes. Suddenly, a newspaper article was thrust into her face, and the words blurred before her. She had to blink a few times, but soon she could process it. The picture was of one of Andy’s more recent victims, and the story was about this college-age boy that had been poisoned from his take-out restaurant meal and found in his home, later being rushed to a hospital. The article also detailed the restaurant that was currently undergoing a health inspection, and the address of the house where the boy was found. Throughout Andy and Stef’s time doing this, it seemed that they had shut down a good number of perfectly decent restaurants. "Recognize this picture? I bumped into you on the way out that night. Normally, you spawns of the Devil are abhorrent by nature, but poisoning? You are one of those that truly belong in hell." Hearing him call her a spawn of the Devil struck an odd kind of fear into her. She wasn’t religious in any sense, but it was mainly at what he was talking about Poisoning. Then it hit her, clear as day, lifting a lot of the fogginess left in her head: He thinks I’m Andrea... "I always despised types like you. Believing that you could simply use your powers on people without any consequences. Always reminds me of why I'm doing this." he said to her. If her fear wasn’t already well rooted in by being tied here and her mouth being shut, then him saying all these weird things didn’t make it any better. And then she saw it, and everything was happening and what he said suddenly made sense. He was holding a gun. A simple pistol, but she now knew what the purpose of her being here was. And panic washed over her in an instant. She spoke softly, every word muffled, and tears sprung to her eyes in an instant, pouring down her cheeks. Stefani was scared out of her mind. Not only for her own life. Despite the threat being put on her right now, she worried for her sister. She was the one he had targeted, after all. If he found out she had a twin, it would be over for the both of them... WORDS! 689 STATUS! complete TAGS! Hayate NOTES! What if this guy pulled the tape off her mouth in a bit? OOC: Not practical. HE wouldn't want her screaming for help and getting heard.
IC:
Oh, Koryu. Look, I don’t have time to play with you right now, I have to find my sister.
Koryu blinked with surprise, but before he could have a chance to say anything, she already disappeared back inside. HE frowned in concern. Although Andrea was laid-back, he knew her well enough to know she loved her sister dearly, and it would be the only thing that could get her this worried. She left the door wide open, and Koryu stepped in, in time to hear a roar.
Where the fuck are my keys?!
Koryu blinked, saw the keys sitting on a nearby table, picked them up and called out, "Here!" When she came over to take them, he said a bit more sternly this time, "Andrea, what happened to Stefani?" Koryu was concerned about Stefani as well, considering he liked her and all. He also wanted to find out what happened to her and help her.
----------
Yes, he could hear the thing whimper in fear and cry. Of course. He didn't expect anything else. All beings valued their own lives, from humans to demons. At least she could understand the peril she was in. But nevertheless, he decided to make her sins a bit more known to her, so at least she knew why he was sending her to hell.
"You and your kind," he said, his voice heavily laced with hatred. "Your powers are things only the Lord should have. He would not give such dangerous things to us, his lowly servants, the human race. There can be only one conclusion why you have these powers: You're nothing more than spawns of Satan, demons in human skins."
He looked at the newspaper again before throwing it aside. "And such acts are only further proof of that. I did some research. There have been a string of food poisonings all around, and a few witnesses said that they've seen you at a number of these locations. Far too many to be a coincidence."
His pistol still at his side, but ready to be used, he cast his cold glare on her. "Tell me, is this some sort of game to you, that you can poison these people without repercussions? Make them suffer for no good reason?"

”Here!”
Andrea, turned around to see Hayate standing inside the house, and he was holding the car keys she was looking for. She ran over and snatched the keys out of his hand as she heard him repeat the same question as before. Andy didn’t waste time by stopping to talk to him, so she kept walking, and if he didn’t follow her so he could hear her, then that wasn’t her problem. ”She just went out for a jog, but then she stopped answering her phone. She always answers her phone.”
Andy moved down the porch steps and around to where the car was parked. Opening the door, she turned to Koryu and said, ”Something has to be up, I’m going to drive around the neighbourhood, see if I can find her. She might’ve just dropped her phone or fallen and sprained an ankle or something.” Closing the door, she soon turned on the car’s engine, waiting to pull out. She and her sister had owned this car for a couple years, and it was in peak condition. The only thing that didn’t work was that the doors didn’t lock automatically when the car started, so the passenger door wasn’t yet locked. * * * * * * * * * * It took all of her energy to look away from the gun and try to listen to what this man was telling her. But the tone in his voice just made her cry even harder. ”You and your kind. Your powers are things only the Lord should have. He would not give such dangerous things to us, his lowly servants, the human race. There can be only one conclusion why you have these powers: You're nothing more than spawns of Satan, demons in human skins." There were so many references to God and the Devil, that much was perfectly clear. She knew that various religious communities thought of those with powers as demon children, but she figured that those types only preached on the mainland... or anywhere else besides the island where they resided. Why was he here? They’d already been banished to this island, never allowed to return, why was he here now, and threatening her with this gun? "And such acts are only further proof of that. I did some research. There have been a string of food poisonings all around. Far too many to be a coincidence.” Stefani was actually quite glad to be here instead of her sister. While what Andy did was wrong, and she was perfectly aware of that, she was still her sister, and she never wished for any harm to ever come to her. She would gladly take any punishment for her sister... even something as extreme as this. "Tell me, is this some sort of game to you, that you can poison these people without repercussions? Make them suffer for no good reason?" Through the tears that were constantly flowing and her terror, a sort of anger rose up. Who was he to threaten her, or any member of her family, no matter what they’d done. Who gave them the right? It was as if she was infused with some of her sister’s strength for a moment. ”Who exactly are you?!” Stefani tried to yell at him, though with the tape over her mouth, she couldn’t be certain that he understood just what was being said to him by his captive. She just went out for a jog, but then she stopped answering her phone. She always answers her phone. Something has to be up, I’m going to drive around the neighborhood, see if I can find her. She might’ve just dropped her phone or fallen and sprained an ankle or something.
Koryu nodded, and when she got in, he moved automatically to get in on the passenger side. "I'm coming with you," he said calmly to her. His tone, normally pleasant, was firm. It was obvious that no argument was going to dissuade him.
Although he was worried for her, he still remained calm in every situation. He tried to think of logically what happened. Maybe something happened to her phone, like she dropped it. That was the most likely scenario. But he had a very bad feeling in his gut that it was far worse than something that simple. He hoped that he was wrong in every sense of the word...
----------
John watched impassively as she cried out, her voice muffled against the tape. He could see in her eyes a faint bit of anger mixed with her fear. He had done this enough times to know what they were saying or thinking. Just who the hell was he to pull this kind of crap on them? What right did he have?
Thankfully, he had the perfect answer.
"Now, you may be wondering who I am, to cast down this judgment upon you," he continued, his tone still cold. "I am no one but the Lord's servant, one of His warriors, sent to do His divine will. Which is to smite all the demons that pollute this world. It is my greatest honor to be able to serve Him in such a large way. Even among those of His servants, I have been known as the Dark Paladin. I believe that serves to answer who I am."
He looked her right in the eyes and asked quietly, "Tell me, do you fear me, demon?"

She was about to peel out of the drive way when Koryu hopped into the front seat, out of nowhere. She was about to exchange her annoyance for actual anger and tell him to get lost when she heard him say, "I'm coming with you”
His tone made him sound like his mind was set, and honestly, she couldn’t argue. Did he have a sense that something worse had happened, like she did. ”Fuck it, fine. But turn into a front seat driver and you’re outta here.” Without missing another beat, she sped out of the driveway, definitely not in the safest way possible. ”Buckle up.” she warned him before she began driving again. They wove through all the streets that made up the Palm Glades neighbourhood. They even passed the convenient store a few times, and Andy just knew that she wasn’t in there. The more streets they checked, and the less options they had, the more Andy began to worry. It wasn’t an additional power by any means, but the twins had always shared a very deep connection. They couldn’t really read each others minds unless they were thinking the same thing and confirmed it with a look, but they always knew generally what was on the others mind and what they were feeling. And that was why Andy was so worked up; her sister wasn’t fine right now. As she continued driving, grasping the steering wheel tightly on the 10 and 2 o’clock positions, she didn’t happen to notice the green-ish smoke emitting from between her fingers – apparently her power was getting the best of her and she was beginning to melt away some of the leather of the steering wheel without even noticing. * * * * * * * * * * The look in this guy’s eyes, it was as if he had been able to understand her, despite her voice being muffled by the duct tape. Her eyes widened when she came to the realization that she may not be the only person that has been taken to whatever location they were in right now. And then, he began to answer. "Now, you may be wondering who I am, to cast down this judgment upon you. I am no one but the Lord's servant, one of His warriors, sent to do His divine will. Which is to smite all the demons that pollute this world. It is my greatest honour to be able to serve Him in such a large way. Even among those of His servants, I have been known as the Dark Paladin. I believe that serves to answer who I am." Religious themes came up over and over again with this guy, and she had the feeling that he was some form of Christian rebel, clearly from some chapter solely against those with these special abilities that had been popping up since about 2004. He leaned closer to her, and looked her dead in the eyes. There he would see terror. He would see a fear beyond anything she’d ever felt before. But when he asked, "Tell me, do you fear me, demon?”, a bit more of her sister’s strength sapped back into her. She lunged forward at him, her head and torso being the only parts able to move, but it was clear she’d tried to move her arms and legs too, and she glared. She was beginning to feel the rope cut into her skin, the more she struggled, but it wasn’t going to stop her. Not now. WORDS! 590 STATUS! complete TAGS! Hayate NOTES!N/A. INSPIRATION! Fuck it, fine. But turn into a front seat driver and you’re outta here.
Koryu grimly nodded. He could tell just how worried she was for her sister, so it was no wonder that she was kind of short tempered. Koryu honestly didn't care how she drove - if she didn't get them killed, that was good enough for him. He already buckled up, which was good considering how she pulled out.
As they kept going around the area, looking, Koryu enhanced his reaction speed so everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. That way, he could pick out individual people better. But in this case, it didn't help - he couldn't see her anywhere. He also began to get worried. Stefani didn't seem like the type to up and disappear without telling anyone.
Just what the hell happened to her?
----------
As a response to his question, the girls truggled more violently than before. John took a small step back. "Hm, rather fierce, arent' you? No surprise, considering that all living beings value their lives - demons and humans alike. But maybe being a demon, you fear the wrath of hell, as well. Is that it?" he asked almost casually.
He lifted his gun and took out the cartridge, taking a look at how many bullets there are. Almost as if he was casually inspecting. Stefani would notice that the cartridge was filled with bullets. And it would only take one of those bullets to end her life right then and there.
Sliding the cartridge back in, he said, "For a while, I had used consecrated bullets... but unfortunately, those are getting a bit hard to fine. Thankfully, my Father - or priest, whatever you demons would want to call him - told me that bullets dipped in Holy Water would suffice in exorcising you and sending you straight to hell. But I wonder..." He turned his cold stare at her. "If just a bullet would be enough to truly send you to hell."

Andrea hadn't realized just what she'd been doing to the steering wheel until she could feel a severe heat on her hands. She slammed the breaks as they reached a traffic light, and let go of the wheel. A greenish smoke was coming off the wheel and it didn’t look like the leather was being melted as much as some substance was eating away at it ”Oops...” was all that Andrea said about it, then she put her hands back on the wheel, away from where they’d been before. ”Better this way anyway,” she said, a bit to Koryu, but mainly to nobody in particular. ”Stef was always bugging me about m driving anyway. Kept bugging me that my hands should be at the 9 and 3 o’clock positions. New rule since the addition of airbags, something like that.” It wasn’t until Andrea stopped talking that she realized she’d spoken about her sister in the past tense. And that brought a whole new level of worry and panic to her. She knew... Andrea just knew that Stefani wasn’t around here. And she also knew that things weren’t right. She gripped the steering wheel tightly again, making sure not to lose control again and mentally taking back what she said, clenching her teeth as she said, ”Where the hell is she...?” * * * * * * * * * * The masked man stepped back a bit after she tried to lunge herself towards him, and he almost seemed amused by her attempt. "Hm, rather fierce, arent' you? No surprise, considering that all living beings value their lives - demons and humans alike. But maybe being a demon, you fear the wrath of hell, as well. Is that it?" Right now, her mind was nowhere near demons or heaven or hell... It was on the gun in his hand... And her sister. And herself. Even with how much she was worrying about her family right now, she couldn’t stop for a moment and forget that she’d be the first to go, unable to protect or warn anybody. When the man checked the cartridge in the gun, she did, in fact, notice the large amount of bullets there. She felt her hands tighten into fists, and felt the rope did into her skin a bit more. This was all some sort of sick game to him... she was certain now that he’d killed other people with powers. Maybe older than her, but perhaps from her school. She could hardly believe any of this was happening... After all, this island might’ve kept them isolated from the rest of the world, but it was also supposed to keep them safe. This wasn’t what anybody was bargaining for. "For a while, I had used consecrated bullets... but unfortunately, those are getting a bit hard to find. Thankfully, my Father - or priest, whatever you demons would want to call him - told me that bullets dipped in Holy Water would suffice in exorcising you and sending you straight to hell. But I wonder... If just a bullet would be enough to truly send you to hell."Figures that he wasn’t the only one... there had to be a lot more people, just like him, thinking they were acting out God’s will or something. Her sister’s strength was leaving her, and she spoke weakly, her voice still muffled by the duct tape. ”You’re insane...” WORDS! 564 STATUS! complete TAGS! Hayate NOTES! Ow, fuck!
Koryu looked over, and saw that the leather of the steering wheel had been eaten away. Instantly, he guessed what Andrea's power was - infectkinesis, or being able to poison someone at a touch. Or in this case, poison the leather of the steering wheel, causing it to dissolve. He could understand her losing control of her power, with stress running high and all.
Better this way anyway. Stef was always bugging me about m driving anyway. Kept bugging me that my hands should be at the 9 and 3 o’clock positions. New rule since the addition of airbags, something like that.
Koryu wasn't listening to her words so much as how she phrased them. He also noted that she used past tense. This... was not good. If she was using past tense, then there could only be one conclusion. Fear gripped his gut, but he tried not to think about it. His reaction speed was still up, but he still couldn't find Stefani among the people they passed by. He was thinking the same thing as Andrea.
Stefani, where are you...?
----------
And now that look in her eyes, now that she had exhausted himself. He recognized it. All his targets gave him that same look as well, whenever he talked to them, which was few. Normally, he would've simply killed them and disposed their bodies, never to be found again. But he knew that look, and would address it.
"Are you considering me, perhaps... insane?" he asked calmly and coldly. "Perhaps by your standards, I am. Yet tell me... what's more insane? Letting your kind, you demons run rampant with your powers, using them as you see fit, powers that only God should have, and letting you stay alive when your very existance spits on the Lord's face? Or oblitering your kind, and thus sending you back to your rightful place in hell? Think about it in that perspective... I don't seem insane, do I? Or maybe you do."
His gaze turned colder and he said, "I think we're almost to the end of my little... lecture."

While she remained stopped at the stop sign, Andrea tried to sort through all of this rationally, just like her sister would in this kind of situation. Stefani had gone out for a run after dinner... and she was no longer here. To look for her, Andrea would gladly cover the entire island in one night, but she tried to narrow it down in her mind... to try and figure out just where her sister was right now.
A picture popped into her head. Stefani, laughing loudly at something she’d said a moment ago. The two of them were lying on separate towels, and they both turned at the same time to look towards screaming children running along the shore...
The beach... it was Stefani’s favourite place on the island.
”Okay, we’re gonna try something else.”
Andrea said, this time addressing Koryu directly, and she sped off, towards the general direction of the beach. She was going to rely at whatever shred of telepathy the two of them shared and try to get in touch with her instinct. She just had to find her... * * * * * * * * * * "Are you considering me, perhaps... insane?"This was not good... She was more than certain now that if he knew what was going through her mind, then he had done this sort of thing before. Tears pooled from her eyes again, and she just listened to him speak in remorseful silence. "Perhaps by your standards, I am. Yet tell me... what's more insane? Letting your kind, you demons run rampant with your powers, using them as you see fit, powers that only God should have, and letting you stay alive when your very existence spits on the Lord's face? Or oblitering your kind, and thus sending you back to your rightful place in hell? Think about it in that perspective... I don't seem insane, do I? Or maybe you do."His eyes turned even colder than they already were. Her thoughts fled to Andrea again. And Robert, he has powers just like them... He was in just as much danger as they were, despite not having ever really used his powers for evil. When he said, "I think we're almost to the end of my little... lecture." Stefani knew that she had to keep him here for as long as possible. Not to extend her own life, but to prevent him from leaving and seeking out her siblings. Tears continued to pour from her eyes, and even if he couldn’t understand her, she didn’t care. She’d snapped. ”You are insane! We’ve already been isolated to this island! We’re not allowed to leave, why can’t you just leave us in peace where we won’t do the rest of the world any harm?!” WORDS! 465 STATUS! complete TAGS! Hayate NOTES! N/A INSPIRATION! Okay, we’re gonna try something else.
Koryu blinked as she turned and went... to the beach. He blinked in surprise. Why did she go here? Stefani probably didn't jog here. However, as she passed by a row of warehouses, his heightened reaction speed picked up soemthing. "Stop here," he said abruptly. "Park the car, and keep quiet."
As soon as she did so, he got out, and went over to pick up what he saw earlier - Stefani's cellphone. The battery to it lay nearby. Koryu frowned. "She's probably close by - or the people who took her is." He looked toward the warehouse he was in front of. He walked to the door, quietly opened the door a crack, which thankfully didn't make any noise, and peaked in.
----------
More muffled noises from the girl. Some kind of argument? Well, he wasn't exactly how to address it, considering that he had no clue what she was saying. But still, he might as well address one little aspect of his mission.
"Most people think that your kind's isolation would be enough. I will admit, it's a solution... albeit, it's a very short-term solution. One that will not work to confine your kind. No, it must be eradicated. All devils need to be sent back to Hell, and not allowed to perpetuate, where every passing day means more chances for you to believe yourselves gods and finally take over His realm."
"This discussion is over. May you rot in hell," he finished calmly, and raised the pistol so it aimed squarely at her head.
