rule number onejoining: when you're joining, it doesn't particularly matter what you register with, whether it be the characters name or a wild username that has some form of sentimental value to you, truly, it doesn't matter. granted, i would appreciate it if you registered with the character's name for simplicity's sake, but i understand otherwise. just so long as afterwards, you immediately change it to your characters full name. if the full name doesn't fit, such as heblah blahblahblahblah blahblah, then you are welcome to leave the middle name out, but the first and last names are mandatory. preferably all in lowercase, to make the site look pretty and organised.
rule number two
creation: when creating your character, you pretty much get free reign. we accept cannons and originals, but what i do ask is that you use a real person, not anime or a drawing that you've made. beyond that, it's all game, but no porn stars or nudists, in respect for the other members. you will not be accepted if you apply with someone who doesn't have clothing on in their pictures. if there is a legitimate question to this, feel free to pm me and we can discuss it. as for characters themselves, i ask that you keep it realistic. now, due to the very nature of this site, there are powers, there is 'magic' but it is all science-based. so basically, have fun with that. :] also, when naming your character, get creative. don't name them zac something effron. seriously people, just don't. don't name them after a character in a movie with the same full name or first and last name, unless they are specifically named after that person, at which point, explain that in their bio.
rule number three
graphics: you're free to have signatures and avatars, so long as they do not stretch the board or promote anything inappropriate. the maximum graphic size is 450 x 250 pixels. it will be removed if this rule is broken, end of discussion. if you cannot make a graphic and still want one, feel free to make a request in the graphics board, someone will make you one. again, nothing inappropriate, no stealing, etc. just be respectful with graphics, please.
rule number four
posting: until you are accepted, please, do not post anywhere, the ooc boards are an exception. you may reserve a face claim, but not claim one until your bio has been accepted, but definitely no in character posts. it just makes it easier in case your bio has a problem. you have a maximum of seven days to complete your bio, unless otherwise discussed with a staff member, we all know that life occasionally gets in the way, but otherwise, seven days. in character posts do not have a word limit at this time, but they need to be at least one paragraph in length, a decent paragraph, at least eight sentences. if need be, there will be a word count put into place, but i trust you, so work hard. absolutely no one-liners, no symbols, no abbreviations, ABSOLUTELY NONE! i will delete the post with a smile on my face if this happens. the only note on that is that if it is an in character abbreviation, like they are writing a note or something of the sort, that is accepted, but. . . if u rite 2 me lyke dis, i will $hoot u.

rule number five
respect: this should go without saying, but respect the fellow members. even if they make you mad, be respectful about it. even if you need a mediator, contact a staff member and we will help you resolve it. but i'm asking that there be no fights or insults going on in the cbox, a general board post, or anything of the sort. that goes the same for discussions about religion, sexuality, race, or the like, even if you don't agree with it, don't bash it.
rule number six
character limit: technically, there isn't a limit. however, after three, you have to start paying. you can have fifteen characters if you want, but you will have to work for them. we don't want any dead characters just waiting around, hoping to be used. . . that's just sad. kind of like this. secondly, if you have made a female character, your next character will be a male. no ifs, ands, or buts about it. the more even the ratios, the more plots there are, simple science. however, if you make a male, for the time being, you can have 3 males before you start paying. for some reason, fewer people like to play males, so it takes longer for them to get even.
rule number seven
mature content: due to the latest proboards terms of service update, mature content such as sex is not allowed. but, much like that 70's show, you can elude to it. fade to black, pan to the ceiling, use slang for drugs, it doesn't matter. there are things you have to do if you are going to have a thread that goes into mature territory, you must put [m] [x] [mature] something along those lines in the title. if a person who feels uncomfortable with those types of threads comes across it, don't read it. it is your fault if you see something that you didn't want to see. if at all possible, avoid these types of threads, but i understand at least drug use and making out in high school / college-aged sites.
rule number eight
chat boxes: yes, the chat box is a premium box. dark purple are your admins, and light purple names are the mods. please, once you join, register your name in the box and don't change it, we don't want to fill up the registry list with a bunch of random names. the icc box is an in character chat not a role play, it is a chat room for the citizens of cashile. in either, don't get too terribly vulgar, please. and if you flood it, be warned, it will automatically ban you for fifteen minutes. so if you're getting really excited, be aware. haha.
so, those are the rules, follow them or face the consequences. if you have any questions concerning the rules, feel free to ask them. but, i do hope that you enjoy the site for all that it is worth and you become part of the attw family!
- - your admins. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
